Accessibility

Team 1 Auto Care wants everyone to be able to find our shop, see what we do and reach us by phone — including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on magnification, or need reduced motion.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard U.S. courts generally apply to business websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Where it is straightforward, we also follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

What we have done

• Every piece of text on the site has been checked against the AA contrast minimum, including small labels and captions.
• The whole site can be operated by keyboard alone, and every focused element shows a clearly visible focus outline.
• A “skip to main content” link appears as soon as you press Tab, so you do not have to travel through the header each time.
• Headings run in a correct order, and the page is divided into proper landmark regions so a screen reader can jump between them.
• Every image carries descriptive alternative text.
• Buttons and links are large enough to hit comfortably on a phone, and the layout works down to a 320px-wide screen without sideways scrolling.
• All motion is subtle, plays once, and is switched off entirely if your device is set to reduce motion. Nothing flashes, auto-scrolls or moves on a loop.
• Automated testing with axe-core is run against the live site, alongside manual keyboard checks.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than claim perfection:

• The photograph of our building shows small signage on banners that is not sharp enough to read at every zoom level. The important details — our name, our phone number, our hours and that we are Suite E — are all written out as text elsewhere on the page.
• Some photographs on the site are illustrative rather than pictures of our own premises. Their alternative text describes what is shown.
• Pages linked from here that we do not control, such as Google Maps and our Google reviews listing, follow Google’s accessibility practices, not ours.
